Partnership with Hope Creates continues: Make Your MARC, with support from Augustine

St. Louis Classical Guitar is excited to continue our partnership with Hope Creates, St. Louis non-profit that empowers youth and young adults in recovery from addiction through expressive arts and entrepreneurial business skill development. Last year, SLCG (with the help of the Arts and Education Council Arts and Healing Initiative) provided guitar programming directly to young adults recently released from the Clayton Juvenile detention center who have a history of addiction.

This year Augustine Strings has graciously sponsored the Make Your MARC program by donating guitars! Thank you to Augustine for providing instruments for our juvenile justice project with Hope Creates. Throughout the program students will learn how to perform on their guitar, as well as making their instrument a piece of art to take home. A teaching artist from SLCG will help lead the program and provide guitar instruction. Learn more below:
