Music. Art. Recovery. Connection.

Make Your M.A.R.C. is an eight-week program for a cohort of 10-15 youth/young adults in recovery or deemed at risk for substance use disorder, sponsored by St. Louis non-profit Hope Creates. Participants meet weekly for 3-4 hours, engaging in a multi-disciplinary healing arts experience in painting, drawing, music, drums, and storytelling, and deliver an exhibition and concert the final week.

St. Louis Classical Guitar supports Make Your MARC by providing a teaching artist to instruct guitar and music classes throughout the program. SLCG will also provide the guitars for the young adults, all donated graciously from our sponsor Augustine Strings.

At the conclusion of the program, participants produce a capstone art exhibit and a concert for family and friends, which includes a guitar performance.
