Make Your M.A.R.C. and St. Louis Classical Guitar in 2024

Make Your M.A.R.C. (Music, Art, Recovery, Connection) is a nine-session program for a cohort of 10-15 youth/young adults in recovery or deemed at risk for Substance Use Disorder. Participants meet for 3-4 hours each session, engaging in a multi-disciplinary healing arts experience in painting, drawing, music, percussion, and storytelling, and deliver an exhibition and concert the final week. This program is designed to show area youth that art and music can be positive outlets that can change one's life.

St. Louis Classical Guitar impacts Make Your M.A.R.C. sessions with the healing power of music by providing guitar classes and instruments. Each participant learns how to play the guitar in an ensemble setting with SLCG teaching artist Ms. Shu Ma. As well, the students receive a guitar that they get to paint and make their own. Thank you so much to our sponsors Augustine Strings!
