“An impressive measure of its persistence and dedication to quality programming, St. Louis Classical Guitar is celebrating its 60th anniversary. First up is the Sept. 16 St. Louis debut of Chinese classical guitarist Tengyue (T.Y.) Zhang, the 2017 Grand Prize winner at the Guitar Foundation of American International Concert Artist Competition. Following that is the Oct. 21 concert by acclaimed Russian classical guitarist Irina Kulikova, whose most recent album is 2021’s “La Forêt ~ Drie Rivieren,” a world premiere recording of the two suites by Mark Van Overmeire.”
