Goal Made! Over $10k raised in honor of Margaret Gilleo

During the month of July 2023, St. Louis Classical Guitar campaigned for our education programing in honor our dear friend, Margaret Gilleo who passed away on June 08, 2023. We are pleased to announce that we exceeded our goal of $10K and raised $13,559!

Thanks so much to everyone who made a gift during July! Your donation will help ensure the future of Guitar Horizons education programs in Margaret's memory. SLCG wouldn't be able to provide quality guitar education in St. Louis schools without your support!

We at St. Louis Classical Guitar are very, very appreciative of your support!! You may still donate in Margaret’s Memory and make a difference in our community through the link below:

Learn more about St. Louis Classical Guitar’s special relationship with Margaret Gilleo and the Guitar Horizons program below:

For years, Margaret Gilleo was one of the biggest supporters of our "Guitar Horizons" education program. In this program, SLCG provides guitar instruction to schools and community centers where instrumental music programs are limited at best. We not only send our Teaching Artists to provide instruction with a full curriculum, but also often provide the instruments as well.

Margaret was a true champion of this program. She valued the premise of introducing music (particularly guitar) to many students across the St. Louis area who otherwise might not have the opportunity to participate and gain musical experience. She made numerous contributions to SLCG specifically to help fund the Guitar Horizons program.

The funds raised during this 30-day effort will be used exclusively for costs associated with Guitar Horizons so that we can ever more effectively serve our many deserving students in St. Louis area schools in the coming school year and beyond.
