SLCG Accepts Donation from James Young, Missouri Teacher of the Year 2022

Reverend Dr. Kerry Allison, James Young, and Executive Director Brian Vaccaro at First Presbyterian Church of Ferguson on Sunday, February 27th.

James Young, music teacher at Johnson-Wabash Sixth Grade Center in Ferguson-Florissant School District, received the 2022 Missouri Teacher of the Year award. In honor of his accomplishment, the church gave Young a monetary gift to the cause of his choice and he chose St. Louis Classical Guitar!

For many years Young has used guitar in his classroom with the support of SLCG. We are honored that he decided to give back to us to ensure our programs thrive in the future.
